Metropolis of Boulder worker billed in spat more than purchasing carts

BOULDER, Colo. — A Metropolis of Boulder employee has been charged with felony extortion linked to two incidents of threatening to destroy shopping carts at a Full Foods Industry, according to the metropolis.

According to the launch, an employee at a regional grocery retail store submitted a law enforcement report expressing a metropolis employee had two times questioned for “payment” for returning the store’s carts. The retailer personnel reported the male experienced threatened to wipe out the carts if he wasn’t compensated.

A metropolis spokesperson explained the incidents happened on Nov. 12 and Dec. 1 at the Complete Meals at 2905 Pearl St. The metropolis personnel had recovered the carts from cleanup efforts in parks and encampments, the spokesperson said.

The city personnel allegedly requested food stuff or a food in exchange for the carts, the spokesperson said.

Centered on the description of the town staff and even more investigation, Boulder Police discovered Kyle Patterson, 41, as the suspect, the news launch claims.
